So things are winding down to a regular routine now, and I thought I'd take time to start posting here again. My topic of choice? I finally decided to decommission my laser printer (HP Laserjet IIP Plus). After about 10 years of service, it owes me nothing, and as such I decided not to fix it this time. Over the years it has had downtime now and again, but nothing too serious. I bought it in the late 90's second hand for $50, including 3 other broken ones for parts. I decided to print one last page with it before throwing it out, the self-test page by holding down a certain combination of buttons on it's yellowed plastic control panel. The result: it reports a total of 32,955 pages printed since 1991. Not too shabby.

Oh, and I have a new job, old car, etc, etc....boring stuff.
